Add PayPal subscription payment option to my site

Hi, I have 5+ years of experience. Developed various projects in .Net with MsSql database. Infact, 90% of the projects done so far are in ASP, which includes simple dynamic page to complex ecommerce related websites. I need some more clarity on the subscription, why there is an exception of January and December? What if the user is subscribed in the Month of March. Will the user will be subscribed for 8 months only? Please confirm. Also let me know this is classic ASP based project or .net? Look forward to hear from you. Regards
