ID : 34332933 Greetings, We are interested to work on this project, please find my comments inline with yours in following link. =>Ok, What is the version of MS access database? 1) We can password protect MS Access file and write code to link from such password protected backend. In this case user can copy/paste file but won't be able to open unless there is password. But this password is really isn't so strong, it can be cracked by some third party tools. If your users are not advanced developers or programmers, you can use this option. 2) another option I would suggest is convert existing Access backend to SQL Server Express or MySQL database. So the file would be on the server machine which you do not need to share with any front-end user. A linked table can get all the relevant data to front-end. We can lock front-end not to allow opening tables, so that they will be able to use only forms. And we can design forms to open only concerned data etc. Access has facility to hide database window and creating accde etc would safeguard your data from all the users. We follow engineering methodologies, naming conventions. We do Documentation for ease of maintenance in long run. Regards Sonali

Instead of preventing the copying of the file why do you not password protect it so that even if someone does copy it, it will be useless as they will not be able to open it. You would just need a bit of code inserted into your front end to incorporate the password - I do this all the time on my databases.
