MATLAB expert to identify bubbles from image and create a mask for their shape

I need you to develop a robust code from extracting a mask of all identifiable bubbles in focus from 8-bit PNG images. The code needs to be adaptive and fast so that it can handle images of varying size and different amount of brightness levels. Please refer to the attached images for the actual resolution of the images and the type of lighting variability.
