Solve Problems with WHMCS and Cloudlinux/Plesk Onyx

I have issues with /var/lib/php/session is not writeable, errors in WHMCS. I have tried modifying permissions but it won't change to writeable.
I'll like the sessions folder to be located in /home/user/whmcsdata/ so i can keep this out of the httpdocs directory, but the permissions I've specified aren't working
