Creating custom Linux Kernel for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4

We are planning to use Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (part number: CM4001000) in one of our projects. But we need to change the pinout maps in the operating system and include some libraries to the system. Also, the things required to develop software with Java on the system (such as libraries, software) should be include to the system and java-based software should be working on it without error. For these reasons, we need a customized Linux that runs on Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 without error.

The pinouts must be customize according to our requirements belowed:

- 1 x I2C for real time clock,

- All AUARTs that Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 supports (5 units),

- 2 x I2C for general purposes,

- 2 x SPI for general purposes,

- 1 x Ethernet pins,

- 1 x USB,

- Necessary pins for 1 x SD card connection,

- 8 x high speed general purpose digital inputs,

- 4 x high speed general purpose digital outputs,

Note: If there is a conflict in the pinout map, the required pin changes will be discussed at the begining of the project.

Libraries needed:

- DS1307 (real time clock IC) communication library over I2C,

- Library for SD card usage (if required).

In addition to these, a document will be prepared about the commands that should be used to access the SPIs, I2Cs, USB, digital inputs and outputs through the Java based software that we will develop. A document about RTC library functions will also be prepared. The operating system will run on the SD card. You can access documents about the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 from the following links:
