Very clear SignalR ASP.NET VB.net table update example

I would like to have a demo website/solution so I can learn more about updating tables on client browsers through websockets, specifically SignalR.

I cannot figure it out as a non-developer (but smart “ASP.NET 2.0 VB.NET only”-person). Most of the examples are c# only or are to complicated with stocktickers and extra stuff that detracts me from learning the basic working.

I would like to learn and understand how I can display a grid/html table to clients and update the table with SignalR when the database(records) is changed. I would like to have 3 examples:

1. Working with the default asp.net datagrid webcontrol.

2. Working with a Telerik datagrid/radgrid control

3. Working with a hardcoded table in HTML5 (no ASP.NET code behind).

Examples can be in multiple solutions, or pages, up to you.

For learning purposes: table design:

Table name: tblLearning

Columns: ID (int), clm1string (String), clm2int (Integer), clm3dec (Decimal), clm4txt (Text), free to add column. Can be filled with random data.

Extra:

Learn how to broadcast to all clients (A and B get the same table content).

Learn how to broadcast to 1 specific client (SQLDependency for specific user, personal data)

Requirments: HTML5, SignalR, Use of SqlDependency (so if the table record changes it will be broadcasted directly), data in a MS SQL server (1 table), VB.NET coding no C#, as clean as possible, meaning all the extra stuff that is not needed please leave out (not 35 js files when not used).
