New Football (soccer) club logo design

We are a community football club based in Melbourne and are looking to re-brand ourselves. The club has a rich 50 year history so we want to create a new modern, attractive club logo that respects our history and takes us forward.
Some design considerations:
- Logo to include 'Albion Rover FC' or 'Albion Rovers Football Club'
- Colours are Red and White (current logo Cairnlea Football Club is attached)
- Logo must be modern, attractive and simplistic
- A modern soccer ball must be included in the design
- A fierce lion must be incorporated into the design (example attached)
- A man kicking a soccer ball (as shown in existing logo) should be included in the design
- Logo must be one complete design (i.e. no stars or graphics outside the main logo)
- The club's current location was an old explosives factory, may reference to this.
- Round logo is preferred however others will be considered (examples attached)
