libidex - Graphic Designer

The Role: We are looking for an experienced, talented and creative graphic designer to work on promoting our latex fashion garments through our websites and other media, both social and printed. We are Libidex Ltd, one of the largest designers and manufacturers of latex fetish garments in the world – and we’re growing fast. Creativity and imagination are vital to our work, both in the design of our garments and in the marketing and presentation of them. Specifically, you will be responsible for the creation of web assets such as banners and HTML emails to a high standard, as well as updating existing page content and layouts. There will also be a requirement to work on a varied range of other projects, such as designing graphics for promotional items, adverts, flyers, and point-of-sale material. You will work closely with the management team to support all creative requirements. What we want you to do: Create design work of a high standard that in line with briefs provided by the company’s Directors and other members of the web / promotions team. Mark-up web designs using HTML and CSS. Design and animate web banners using Photoshop. Design and build Email newsletters. Cross browser testing and troubleshooting What you’ll need to be, skills you’ll need to have: Confident with use of HTML, CSS. Confident with using CS6 software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Confident in cross-browser testing. Basic understanding of Javascript and JQuery desirable but not essential. An interest in intuitive user interface design. Ability to interpret briefs to create high quality design work. Ability to conduct competitor and market research to help make considered design decisions. Ability to communicate ideas confidently, both visually and verbally. Ability to work fast to defined deadlines, juggling multiple briefs as priorities change, keeping Management updated on progress at regular intervals. Comfortable with working in a fast-paced atmosphere, making sure thorough testing and checking is carried out to prevent mistakes. Adaptable, dedicated and creative! The post will be freelance / part-time initially, but could develop into a full-time, permanent job for the right person. You will be required to work at our offices in Bloomsbury, London. We would expect the successful candidate to have had at least 5 years’ experience of working in web-related graphic design.
