• We have approx 365 csv, xls and xlsx spreadsheet documents that need processing.
• The Headers will vary between spreadsheets, but you will see a pattern emerge.
• No need to rename headers for this consolidation process.
• No need to change the file format. You will save the file in it's current file format.
• The "Product Number" that I refer to may be called something different in the header; in the examples I have attached, the Product Number header is labeled "exppartno"
• In Summary, you are looking for the column with product/part numbers with many duplicate rows. This column on each spreadsheet will be consolidated to 1 unique product/part number per row.
• These spreadsheets contain listings of vehicle parts/products and their corresponding makes, models, years and manufacture SKUs and other details.
• Right now, for every car make, model, year or sometimes unique manufacturer SKU(not to be confused with product/part number) there is a separate row for the same Product Number.
• This means there are many many rows with the same product number, listed each time it matches a make, model, year or manufacturer SKU.
• This makes each spreadsheet have numerous rows. We want the rows drastically reduced.
• To consolidate these rows, there should be ONLY 1 product number, listed only once on the spreadsheet, in the same row with all the makes, models, years, etc separated by commas in their own columns.
• A "BEFORE" and "AFTER" example of the desired output is attached.
• Once these spreadsheets are processed, they will be used in a Magento import and their data utilized by the search feature on the front end. Please make sure that the resulting consolidated spreadsheets don't have a problem being imported into Magento.
• When someone on the front end of this Magento store looks up a make, model, year or sometimes a manufacturer SKU... it should be able to return all the matching products and Product Numbers available and vice versa without an issue.

Dear, the project is well defined (but you provided a AFTER file where the expartno not exist in the BEFORE file :) ). I have a couple of questions and I need to see more input files since as mentioned they don't have the same structure and same header.

The 'exppartno' (Product Number) do not match in both the sheets (before and after) attached. Please if you could share file with matching product numbers because I assume this is the code used to merge the rows into a single row.
Rest of the work is easily attainable using INDIRECT function where the formula can be referred to a list of file names (list of file names will be retrieved using macro).
Further details and plan of action can be given via chat.

I've done something similar, that is processed information about cars. I also have a lot of experience with Excel, so everything sounds great! For this, I would create a desktop app in C# that would process all Excel files.
