Training Material Project Management

- 12 hours a month of remote project management work, for 6 months. - Prior experience in developing training material and/or project management of training material development is required. - you do not need any expertise or special experience in the subject matter of music nor therapy, he is an expert in the technique, but has never developed training material before. - you will be managing a part time employee Eric, who is the "subject matter expert" as follows: - regular email communication, and review of deliverable - weekly video-call (skype) meetings - your job is to keep the Eric on task, and ensure that the Eric produces the training material according the specifications and timeline which I will provide, some initial thoughts already included below. - IMPORTANT: the Training Material is to be fully developed by Eric, your work as project manager is to manage him, set up milestones, and ensure he stays focused and produces the Training Material deliverable. He will be responsible to report directly to you, and not to anybody else. You may also provide some guidance and assistance in terms of best tools and formatting for the material. The Training Material's purpose will be teach a specific therapeutic approach that uses music. This approach is helpful to people with mental handicaps or other disorders and diseases such as brain injury and alzheimers. The audience for the training material are the caregiver's of such people. The training material deliverable will include : - a course outline, including schedule and timing of each module - a list of specific materials and specific instruments used for the training. - booklet and/or presentation explaining the key elements of the technique, and how to do it - video demonstrating the technique - a certification process: - tests and/or list of skills which the instructor (Eric) can use to qualify if a student who has completed the training has successfully mastered the technique. Eric is to produce all the above, you are to act as his manager, review and provide feedback keeping him focus one based on the above requirements.
