Greetings! I'm looking for the font (or really good information leading to it) that is used on printed circuit boards and CNC machines. In particular, all the glyphs are made from lines drawn at 45 degree angles, which makes it very different from DIN, OCR, Hershey and other industrial characters.
Some PCB sample photos are included. Also included are some photos of part numbers on a building (the 2009 Burning Man Temple).
I think these may originate from CAD software because they were efficient to be drawn with pen plotters (and continue to be useful for CNC machines). AutoCAD or EagleCAD might be good sources.
Deliverable would need to be a working truetype font with upper and lower case A-Z, numbers, punctuation and special symbols typically found on a US layout keyboard... or a complete set of same delivered in SVG.
