The BMS will be used for Lithium battery in size of 5 - 10 kWh (12 or 24 V) and current of max 500 A, i.e. needs external contactors. Previous experience of PCB as BMS design is required. The project starts with requirements of features and the assignment will result in designed PCB ready for testing (we will perform tests). The BMS design should be much of the basics, passive intelligent balancing, LVP and HVP that are handled by two external contactors. BMS will manage 4 or 8 LFP cells. But we also want some special features like; extra (second) LVP triggers with time delay, external power supply (12 or 24 V) and when off, there must be zero consumption (current) from BMS. BMS doesn't need to measure current, SOC calculation nor CAN communication. If interested, please post previous experience, type of project and date. 3 weeks ago, I had similar project for US client. It was hybrid powering system involving 7A battery, 900W gasoline generator, 12kW DC motor. I had designed autonomous battery management system having LVP, HVP and used voltage sensor, current sensor, Arduino and some relays. Project was verified via testing. I think your project is very similar in many cases. I am an expert in circuit design, PCB layout and firmware programming. I have strong experience in power electronics, battery management and power bank design is my strong point. My former projects in power electronics are as below. + 10kW grid tie solar power inverter + 3kW CVCF(SMPS) + 10kW voltage stabilizer(transformer type) + 7kW welding machine power supply + 1kW battery charger + 48V/50A DC power supply ... Hello. I have several completed BMS projects (last - 14S with passive balance, measurements and other smart stuff) but NDA... Do you understand that BMS with really zero consumption is impossible (there are always leaks) - on the basis of conventional components it is possible to build BMS with very low consumption (of the order of microamperes) = storage time of 2-3 years (more usually not necessary - batteries require periodic maintenance even in storage mode) 500A - is it constant discharge current or its just a pulse max.? (what cell type\size do you plane use or its for parallel connection...?)
