I need a complete book edit for a 50,000 word nonfiction work I have almost completed on the subject of self-defence. I don't just need a proof reader or spellchecker, but someone with experience in the publishing industry who can rewrite if necessary certain passages or phrases in order to create the correct syntax, voice, readability and flow. Ideally, I would like to find someone who could format the book for Kendall and create space and upload it to those platforms, but it's not a deal breaker if you don't possess those skills. I practice and teach four different martial arts as well as Chinese medicine professionally. This book is not a simple how to, but contains complex themes and I don't want to sound purely academic, but conveyed in such a way that is understandable. Self-defence as it pertains to this work is not simply about successfully fighting off a physical attacker, but also self-defence against dysfunction and disease, and how to use the vehicle of martial arts practice as a gateway to self-enrichment and enlightenment. After all, that was its original intent. I need someone as passionate about their profession as I am about mine. I don't need someone to correct my spelling necessarily, I have spell check.
