We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to assist in all facets of our accounting department. This is a part-time, entry level position with favorable growth potential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment and have: • Strong written and verbal communication • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities • Ensure accurate processing and recording of all payroll transactions • Preparation of bi-weekly payroll to be submitted to • Printing of checks for all clients and drop at the post office • Prepare payroll data and run reports, Cut checks, scan all documents and maintain filing • Review payroll reports and distribute paychecks • Distribute paychecks on a bi-weekly basis. Requirements: • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel • Excel - must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets with basic formulas • Word - must be able to create and maintain word documents • Able to work on confidential items and maintain a level of professionalism • Needs to have the ability to work on several different projects. EDUCATION: Baruch College, New York, NY B.B.A. - Accounting EXPERIENCE: Lafont USA (Eyeglasses Wholesale Company), New York, NY January 2016-October 2018 Accountant • Maintain and analyze all records of financial transactions. • Maintain bookkeeping records and accounting files. • Reconcile all bank and credit card account monthly by comparing both bank and book transactions. • Analyze the entire GL for previous years and compared the differences using a report function. • Prepare and process the fixed asset journal and review the fixed assets existence in a separate spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel. • Prepare and pay their monthly sales rep commission based on the volume of sales and commission percentage. • Prepare a weekly cash flow projection and compare the actual receipt and expenses. • Prepare reports and analysis for yearly review and audit purposes. • Directly involved with the company’s yearly audit review and provide the documentation. • Perform transactional data entry and report analysis for both AP/AR. • Prepare and reconcile bank, credit cards, deposits, and statements using V-look up and Macros in Excel. • Work based on a daily goal for collection of all the 60-90 days accounts. • Reconcile a customer balance based on their current shipped items and returns using Microsoft excel.
