Job Description:
OVERVIEW
The Group’s main activity is banking as well as other investments. The role is for a solicitor or barrister to assist the legal function as set out below. Good remuneration with profit-linked bonus. Self-employed status, working part time, independently, with some travel.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing legal support for:
Contract drafting and negotiation;
Regulatory and compliance work;
Occasional commercial litigation;
Statutory functions;
Liaison with the company’s external lawyers
General operational activities.
In the following sectors:
Banking;
Insurance;
General operational activities
Job Requirements:
DESIRED PROFILE
Skills
Highly articulate, numerate and IT literate
Familiar with:
Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; and
Cloud-based file management systems.
Experience
Demonstrable success in each of the areas listed under “main responsibilities”.
Qualifications
Degree;
Relevant professional qualification, preferably in an Anglo-Saxon jurisdiction;
Appropriate experience.
