Hello,
My name is Sara Prescott and I am a freelance/contract editor for Gwinnett County Public Schools, which is a school system in Georgia. I work in the Media Services and Technology Training department. I edit/proofread various genres of writing, checking for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and style. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's degree in English. My concentration was in Rhetoric and Composition, which combines argumentative/persuasive writing with the theory and teaching of writing. Through this pathway, I have acquired skills that allow me to be able to write in multiple writing formats and genres, making me extremely versatile and adaptable. I have experience doing copywriting for web design for Atlanta Artifacts and The Phoenix Project, where I contributed written content to be published on a public-facing website. I am the creator of an up-and-coming blog called The Seasoned Reader, where I post book reviews on novels I am currently reading. I also have a published article on the website for Five Points, Georgia State University's journal of literature and art, in which I analyze "The Space Between 4:00 a.m." by Berwyn Moore, a piece published in one of Five Point's past issues.
I am confident I have the skills necessary to efficiently and accurately complete this job, since I have experience in producing written content on the web - whether it be for a blog, website, or article. Thank you for your time and consideration.
