Arduino code required to run a stair light project.
£10-15 GBP / hora
Hi, I need an Arduino code to run a stair light project.
WS2811 addressable LEDS (50 in string) – but only use 32 of them
16 steps (2 Leds either side)
5v Micro PIR sensor - one at the top and one at the bottom of the stairs (2 PIR Total)
I will need the PIR to trigger a progressive fade illumination either up or down the stairs depending on which PIR is triggered. Then after a certain duration and / or if the other PIR is triggered then the lights should then progressively fade to black chasing the candidate either up or down the stairs. (i.e. step by step)
I would like some basic control of
Max brightness
Colour LEDS (I know that my LEDS are ordered RGB)
Speed of fade on (per step - assuming every step the same)
Maximum duration of time for all the lights to remain on before the ‘chase’ fade to black sequence begins
Speed of fade off ‘chase’ (per step assuming every step the same)
Notes –
I am currently using analogue read for the PIR sensors i.e. [login to view URL](buttonState); if (buttonState >200) etc. and once triggered the PIR automatically stays in the 'on' state for approximately 10 seconds.
I have installed FastLED as a library already which may be of some use to you.
The wiring sequence is currently flexible but we shall assume the steps go led’s (1,2) (3,4) (5,6) etc… up to (31,32) – 16 steps
I would require a nice smooth fade with minimal stepping during the fades
Extras – if you fancy a bit of a mess around then you might want to give me a few cool effects (zaps, chasers effects etc. ). as a separate code once we have the basics working. The chances are I will need some more codes for various automation projects around my home.
Let me know if this project is for you and how much you would charge me for a working code.

I currently don't have that addressable LED model, so I might have to grab it online prior to starting. Anyways, my rates are pretty flexible. Message me if you're interested in my profile.
