Custom virtuamart for digital downloads

I am in the process of building an online digital e-commerce store to sell created music and sound for media (film, radio, tv, producers etc). Store is online already at a private hosted address (requires host entry on PC to access) and is at the basic level of operation using a standard template.

I require ONLY customizing to the online store which is built on Virtuemart. This is what I need:

- Connect to Paypal. At the moment there is some issue that currently brings up a blank screen when trying to connect to paypal

- Pay by credit card with secure page displayed - VM doesn't seem to display a secure payment page when using credit card and I would like this if possible

- The biggest part of this is: I have a file store on a hosting site that offers me hot-linking for the files (direct downloads from their servers). I need the ability to deliver the file downloads to the user upon payment from a remote server to offload the storage for the files to another location.

That is all that needs to be done, the rest I will do myself in time. Site is hosted, I can provide content details to test posts and an admin account into the site.

The most important part of this project is the ability to download the files from a remote location and easily add the remote file link to each product. If possible, I would like the links to be secured so the website grabs the file and gives it to the user rather than posting the direct link.

Please provide details if you have achieved this in the past and how your process works.
