Build an Online Stock Ordering site
£18-36 GBP / hora
This project is for the design and implementation of a full website that will enable our client to securely log-in to their account and order Stock to be shipped to them / or another address.
There will also be PDF's that will be emailed to them once ordered.
There will be a "virtual cost" attached to each item, and various accounts will be allocated a certain amount of "virtual money" in order to order items. This money will be added to their accounts monthly or upon request.
Initially there will be 0 cost attached to all items, but the development must be in line with this additional functionality later.
The site will later go on to become a full commercial site open to the general public where there will be real world costs attached to items, and these will be sent through to a shopping basket and paid for as usual for an eCommerce site.
I will provide a Powerpoint presentation that shows a mock up of how the site should function.
The stock levels will be managed by an existing database, therefore methods for integrating with this must be considered. This will come later on once a contractor is selected in order to allow access to our systems.
Below are some initial thoughts on what is required;
Implementation of a Shopping Cart.
Allowing users to select stock items and add to a cart
Capture and validate number of items per stock item
Create order completion user interface including item deletion, order quantity modification with appropriate validation of stock levels
Allow for order comments
Create stock item query which satisfies the following conditions
Exclude "PDF Only" items
Exclude items with "RESERVED"
Exclude Inactive Items
Excluding Items that are out of stock
Allow filtering by "Information Type" based on provided list
Stock item order completion
Capture user and address contact details
Validation on Order Fulfilment Page. i.e. Email, address etc.
Email delivery for stock orders to DMS
User interface
Brand website
