We're looking for a talented Python developer to join our team as part of our data extraction and compliance team. This will involve; - Building and deploying spiders (Scrapy) for the purpose of data extraction - Managing spider schedules and results with [login to view URL] We are a US startup, accelerated by 500 Startups and come from companies including Amazon, Ebay, IBM, Expedia and Mashery. If you have a passion for clean code and a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you. We work with tools including Slack, Jira and Github. We are an agile team with bi-weekly sprints and weekly deployment. You must have an excellent command of English and able to attend meetings on EST (eastern standard time). Please attach your resume, including experience with Python and any data extraction, scraping experience. If your resume makes the cut, you'll meet with the CTO and follow up with a code test.

Hi. So, as I see you are a company that is doing extensive scraping and seems that you are running the spiders via scrapinghub. Currently I develop a tool, similar to scraping hub, that allow to create spiders via web UI and start/stop/schedule spiders. From my experience on crawling using the scraping hub is actually expensive. If you are interested in such a tool I can show you a demo. The main idea of the tool is to not give it as a service but deploy it on your server and have full access on crawlers created. Tool can save data into mongodb or elasticsaerch.
