We will be accepting video submissions from our certificants (via DropBox) for a dog training video contest. The certificants will submit raw footage in three 5 minute videos or one 15 minute video. We require the winning video to edited into a 5 minute video including graphics, information and sound. The information below is for our certificants (members) to enter to give more information. CCPDT Certificant Video Contest! Are you a CCPDT certificant who loves communicating with clients about how to make their dogs more successful through science-based training? Do you have a unique way of making training fun? Do you want to help dog owners learn a new trick? Then we want you to show us what you’ve got! In our Summer CCPDT Certificant Video Contest we’ll ask you to show off your skills by submitting a 5 minute video of you training a dog to do a designated behavior or explaining a basic training concept or the solution to a common behavior issue. Our favorite will be used for educational purposes and promotion by the CCPDT featuring YOU and your business! To sweeten the pot, we’ll also reinforce you with a $50 Amazon gift card. . . that way you can buy some more of the cool dog training swag that we know you’ve been eyeing up! So grab your cameras and get to training, we can’t wait to see what you can do! Submission Deadline: Thursday August 31, 2017 Topic: We'd like to see how you would counsel a client through the common behavior issue of Counter Surfing! In 5 minutes or less, show us your best tips and tricks for keeping food on your table and out of your dog's mouth. General Information & Tips Please submit your videos via the method listed below only, all other submissions will not be accepted Video(s) should follow/demonstrate the three following applications: Demonstration of the Unwanted Behaviour Management and/or Training Strategies Follow up and results of the management and/or training strategies Do not edit the videos to add graphics, text, music or subtitles Should we decide to utilize your video, we will feature and credit you and your associated organizations in the final product, and in all further distribution Please take into consideration filming conditions in order to present a video that is visually and audibly clear Before submission, ensure that anyone speaking in the video can clearly be heard Have fun and smile! Submission Guidelines Video(s) must be submitted via Dropbox upload and shared with administrator@[login to view URL] 1 to 3 videos should be submitted as raw footage. (combined or separate videos must not exceed 15 minutes total footage) Videos should be formatted as .AVI, .MPEG4, .MOV, .MPEGPS or .WMV. Rules & Eligibility Submissions will only be accepted from current certificants in good standing who hold one of our three designations (CPDT-KA, CPDT-KSA and CBCC-KA) All videos must follow the Humane Hierarchy position statement as set forth by the CCPDT All videos must be received by the submission deadline. Late submissions will not be considered Upon submission, all videos become the property of the CCPDT Through submission of videos to the CCPDT Certificant Video Contest, the owner of the videos releases all rights and permissions to the CCPDT for use of the video for promotional use Once submitted, videos will be edited to fit time constraints and add visual and audio effects
