Please read this:
In my BBB this is the boot timing:
[ 1.211767] ALSA device list:
[ 1.211789] #0: TI BeagleBone Black
[ 1.212523] Freeing init memory: 236K
[ 1.288424] udevd[98]: starting version 175
[ 2.556425] EXT4-fs (mmcblk0p2): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts: (null)
[ 3.761128] rtusb init rt2870 --->
[ 3.761269] usbcore: registered new interface driver rt2870
[ 3.950675] udevd[230]: starting version 175
[ 5.022279] EXT4-fs (mmcblk0p2): re-mounted. Opts: errors=remount-ro
[ 9.627738] bone-capemgr bone_capemgr.9: part_number 'BB-I2C1', version 'N/A'
[ 9.641921] bone-capemgr bone_capemgr.9: slot #7: generic override
at 5.022279 it just remount the FS.
To achieve the 3.5 sec, it will be a must to strip many drivers from the BBB, and to do a lot of cutting work to just start your QT process in 3.5 sec, if that is posible.
Can you contact me for what HW you solution need, so we can know what we can cut off the BBB kernel?
Best Regards
David
