Require the software and algorithms to determine the position of a device using two on-board cameras (one facing down towards the ground and another facing forward). The device runs Embedded Linux on a Cortex A9 chip (dual core [url removed, login to view]) and has an IMU (gyro/accelerometer/magnetometer). We need to be able to determine the device’s position relative to its starting position in all three dimensions and track this as it moves (currently expecting use of 30-60fps cameras). This should work both indoors and outdoors. The device itself does not stay level and may angle in any direction in three dimensions.
We can supply the PCB with USB connectivity for your testing within 4-6 weeks.
Existing open source software may be used (such as OpenCV, etc.). Attaining the maximum possible accuracy given the chosen cameras (resolution and fps) and minimising the required processing power are key aspects to this project.
