Chrome App using Google Drive - This exists in Google Drive: - Google Docs on Google Drive already provides a mechanism to share a folder of documents with a group of people that have Google Id's. - See attached Freelancer_image1. - A Primary user will share documents with a pool of clients that have Gmail ID’s, this also exists today in Google Drive. - Clients will see a list of shared documents from a specified primary userid in a list format retrieved directly from Google Drive with columns 'Title, Owner, Last modified. (2 new columns are added, and described below) - This also exists in Google Drive today. This part is the App - 2 new columns will be displayed. - Column 1 - 'Read' if selected by the user, a drop down will offer, Yes/No - Column 2 - 'Date Read' - fills in the day that the client either selected Yes to the 'Read' column or the day the client opened the document, which ever is easier. When a new document is added by the Primary user, the initial state of the ‘Read’ is No and the initial value of the the ‘Date Read’ is 01/01/2010. See attached Freelancer_image2 The app can also perform a query from the Primary user to show all of the clients and their status of ‘Yes/No’ and the date read on one document at a time. The results of this query can be saved. There is a one time charge for the primary userid for this App, and no cost to the clients, clients can look at the documents for free. This will be done through the Google Chrome App store.
