READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS. SPAM BIDDERS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

We are starting an eMagazine called The DEFCON Warning System Digest. This eMagazine will focus on the following subjects:

1) Nuclear War

2) National Defense (United States)

3) Nuclear Issues including but not limited to nuclear power plants, accidents, progress, etc. If it's nuclear and not war, it goes here.

4) Survival

5) Political Science, as it pertains to the above.

Generally speaking, if it can involve nuclear issues and can lead to a disaster, we are interested in it. Think beyond the obvious.

It is VITAL that any article must be non-partisan, unbiased, and fact based. Use of footnotes are encouraged and will add validity to your articles. Images and charts are welcome, but they must be original. Don't use someone else's.

Your articles must be ORIGINAL and verifiable. No "a friend deep in the military told me this". This is not a magazine for Black Helicopters, New World Order, False Flags, or other conspiracy nonsense. Talk about real issues. This isn't a Wikipedia-style magazine. Just because someone posted something on a website or wrote an article means he knows what he is talking about, so research and write about actual, verifiable, truthful stuff. Not made-up baloney.

Visit the site [url removed, login to view] and especially the message board where at [url removed, login to view] where updates have been archived. There you will see what we mean by the type of news we give. This eMagazine is intended to expand upon what we can give in a three minute update, plus go a little further into areas that we simply can't cover in an update.

Your articles must pass copyspace. You may not use article-writing software. Write your own stuff.

Post the word "defcon" in your bid so we know you read these instructions.

In your bid, post the SUBJECT you want to write about. If we approve your subject, you will be given the job. Your will write the article. Your article will be examined by the editor. If he passes it, you will be paid and your article will be used in an upcoming edition. If he doesn't pass it, your article will not be used and you will not be paid. Reasons for not passing include but are not limited to:

- Poorly written

- Poorly researched

- Poorly documented

- Plagiarised

- Biased

Your articles should be between 1500 and 2500 words.

Payment: We pay on the following scale:

1000-1499 words: $5.00

1500-2499 words: $10.00

2500 and more: $15.00

Do not try to pad your articles by using unnecessary words.

The editor's decision as to accept or reject an article is absolute. You may or may not be given the opportunity to rewrite rejected articles, except in the case of plagiarism in which case you won't and will probably be banned from freelancer, so don't do it.

Remember, we are non-partisan and only look at things from how it affects US defense. We don't care about a particular candidate other than how he relates to that. We rarely refer to leaders of counties by their name, rather "The US President" or "Britan's Prime Minister". Keep it neutral.

If you have any questions, please ask in Public Clarification unless the question relates specifically to you.

You may write no more than TWO articles. This magazine is intended to be a quarterly issue. We will need many articles, but each issue must have its own job. So bid for one article. If you have other articles, save them for other issues.

We are looking for a total of ten articles for this issue, so we can take a maximum of ten authors.

Note that by providing an article, you grant us the right to publish it in any form in any medium and you grant this right in perpetuity in any and all jurisdictions worldwide. However, you will be solely responsible for its content and, by submitting your article, you indemnify us and hold us harmless from any legal action should any issue arise from your article. In other words, it's all on you!
