The matrix represents a grid of squares whose cells are either empty (value 0) or contain a solid material (value 1). For example, the following matrix: The grid represents a porous substance with voids corresponding to the 0 elements. The project is composed of two parts. In the first part you will explore some properties of the porous material using this simple model in 2D. You will have to find the density of the material, and you will have to determine if the material is waterproof or not, that is, if can be leaking when watered. You will also generate random specimens with a particular probability that there are voids. In the second part you will look for passages if the material is not water proof.
