Book Proof Reading/ Editing

I wrote something similar myself (religion based) a few years ago, so I know the formats you are working with. I hold two master's degrees and am an experienced editor. I have written three peer reviewed books, the latest to be published in June, and many other publications, all of which I proofread extensively before sending for publication. I have been an indexer for the journal "Provenance: The Journal of the Society of Georgia Archivists" since 2003. I have also provided the professional level indexing for all of my books. From 2002-2007 I owned and operated Cantadora Press and did all the editing and proofreading for all the books, pamphlets, and journal issues we published. From 2008-2010, I taught college-level American history courses and spent a lot of my time teaching my students how to write properly, including: grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and diction. Their semester-long projects entailed many drafts of paragraphs and larger sections before final submittal. Now that I own an editing business and have worked with freelancing sites like oDesk, Elance, Freelancer, and Guru, I have edited multiple books, articles, and Web sites for content. I have always delivered excellent quality editing for a great price. I deliver my product in the time limit specified in the contract. In the past few weeks I have edited a vampire romance novel, a Medieval history textbook, a church history book, a western novel, medical treatise, and a short crime fiction ebook. I have great skills and no one can edit for grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, or style like I can. I am a native US English speaker. I feel that my twenty plus years of experience editing and proofreading my own projects and those of others make me an ideal candidate for your freelance editor position. You will find others with perhaps lower bids for this project. Many of those will be either non-native English speakers or editors with little education and experience in editing. I am a native speaker (US) and I have the education and experience you want in order to deliver you the best possible editing job. I hope you will consider me for this position and hire me.
