BACKUP software to CD/DVD

**PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION, as there is optional info included towards the bottom.** The purpose of this program is to backup specific files and place them on a CD or DVD. The program will have two parts, but will be one executable. There will be Admin access, where a password (that will be hardcoded into the program) must be typed in. The admin will have a list box that will list all files and/or directories that will be backed up. All files will be placed in a temporary folder that will go by the date of the backup. The folder will then be placed onto a cd that will also include a LOG file by the same name (of the folder) that logged ever file that was backed up, its original location, size, etc) This log file will be used to restore files through a program that will be written in the near future. This program must be easy to use, have a GUI and be well written. Please no amatuer coders, or kiddy scripters or people who think they can but have no real skill. If I wanted a poor written app, id do it myself :) The program must BURN to CD/DVD directly and must operate under windows 98/2000/XP/NT and support networked drives, shared folders. I do not know how much this program will cost, so please bid as you feel.. I labeled it a small buisness program, because thats what it is... If the program is well written and in a timely manner there will be a bonus. This program will also give you the possibility to write a restore program that will restore the backed up files. (you will be my first choice to write it) This program should be written in either Visual Basic or C++. (non - .net preffered) When bidding please describe how/what you would code, how long it would take and any other information that would help me make the right choice. **The FULL source code must be available.** If you are going to be using a activeX, or ocx, or DLL that you dont have the source to, i must know about it as it may affect the use of the product, and therefore will not be compatible. **Using DLL or external files doesnt automatically disqualify you!** **Burning to a DVD is optional, if you feel you can do a better job with a program that does only CD please state so! ** Thanks for looking! Any questions please email me! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
