Quick Rundown:
The guys who programmed this software are slow at responding.
I am a print reseller, I drop ship from multiple locations so the CS-Cart software (written in php/sql) limits me to a somewhat-automated system. Therefore I can never offer real time estimates. Also, one of my main dealers is horribly weak in retrieving information about how their UPS shipping calculator doesn't match with CS-cart's built in feature, when i set the distribution address within the configuration. So, every order requires an approval of the order, at which time, shipping is notified and applied. I do offer a toll free number and live chat to reach us at if anyone questions the shipping cost on anything right away. Not sure if you can help with this thought...
However, you may be able to add the ability for the customer to attach multiple files to ITEM orders (not the whole order, just per each item within) for their front, back, side1, side2, side3 etc properties. It would need to also email the configured admin address in the photo and not generally for anything higher than 10mb file, while I would still like to be able to configure the size limit from the cs-cart admin panel.
Customers should be able to send a re-order of their previous business card order after logging in with their account.
I would like the customer to be able to view a thumbnail of their artwork at a glance within the order. While at the same time, submitted orders are with linkage and/or showing of the image uploaded so we may then proof it and submit as approved, while at the time it processes their payment.
I know an intermediate amount of php to know that someone who is advanced at this could modify this piece of cake. I just don't have the time to figure it out.
I would also like to have modifications pointed out in documentation as well as noted with the code itself with identification of coders initials in the notations. As so that I may easily read, copy and paste as needed through upgrades in the software.
Preferably someone from Denver, CO or surrounding CO areas.
