We already use Selenium to control a Firefox browser. But we have nearly no windows IE experience This project is for you to set up Selenium/WebDriver on an IE9 browser on Windows 7. We'll create a Windows 7 Virtual machine you can access remotely, on a server on the internet. We'll provide a working python script that does what we want using Firefox: so you'll need to edit it to make it work under IE9; eg * automatically export a HAR file to a configurable location after each page called by the script is finished - but if the script was just performing And you will need to address some of the quirks that are different on IE9 than firefox. * block certain page object requests where the URL matches a regular expression (eg *.googleanalytics.com. WE want to use a browser plugin: much Like AdBlock Plus can be used to block content in firefox, just by editing a text file which contains regular expressions. So you can find and get working a plugin on IE9. * handle the problem of some button clicks not being accepted: when the same selenium script works OK on Firefox (google for the people who have experienced this) Once this project is done - we intend a stream of more projects to extend some scripts on the same platform. ========================================= Before bidding, please check that you can answer YES to all these questions: and provide details as specified. a) You have used Selenium RC in the last 12 months, used v2, for at least 20 working days of your time. b) You have set up Selenium and got working scripts on both firefox and IE browsers (please write a paragraph on what your scripts did, what program language) c) You have at your desk a machine running Windows 7 / IE9 that already has Selenium installed. (write a paragraph to describe when /how you set Selenium up, what versions; what scripts you have already written and ready to run) d) you have good basis scripting skills in at least python, java (please write a paragraph of what you have written: please describe what the script did,. not what the project overall was)
