Amazon Products Feed in Joomla/virtuemart

Hi there. We run a textbook rental service for UK students. We offer students any textbook, and if its not on our site all they have to do is fill out a request form and we will upload the product to our site. However, I think this someitmes puts our customers off (can't be bothered to wait!). I am wondering if it is at possible to somehow integrate the Amazon Product Feed into virtuemart, with more than just a basic affiliate function. What I would like is for customers to be able to search Amazons books on our site, and have our own predetermined price percentages applied to the RRP for the different rental periods. Then the customers can go through our checkout process etc and rent the book from us. This will save us hours of uploading products to our site 1 by 1. If this is not a possibility, would it be possible to perform a product scrape (just books) of [login to view URL], then to have the product details (Title, Author, price, publisher details etc) uploaded to virtuemart so customers at least get a search result when they look for any book on our site. Then we would just have to add a "request rental price link" instead of the "ask a question about this product" link for the product pages. If both these are not options, I would like for the APF to be integrated into the requests page of my site so that customers could search the Amazon catalogue. From there, the customer will have two options: either purchase the book from amazon which will earn us commision, or click a "request rental prices" link for tha tparticular product, which will send a notification to my inbox so I can upload the book to the site. I am open to suggestions regarding the how this should be done, or alternative ideas, but the end result needs to be similar to what I have outlined. Experience with Joomla/Virtuemart and Amazon Web Services is needed. Need to be able to provide examples of previous work to demonstrate experience.
