Custom PONG simulation (Flash File)

Similar to the old video game PONG, but with a twist.

PLEASE READ THROUGH TO UNDERSTAND MEASUREMENTS AND PROPORTION REQUIREMENTS

1. A perfect enclosed rectangle (please just make sure that the entire simulation is clearly visable)the rectangle dimensions should be 450 units wide by 1200 units in length)

2. No paddles like in the video game

3. 36 evenly spaced partitions running vertically from top to bottom across the length of the rectangle, spaced uniformily.

4. each of the partitions will have 20 funnel shaped cones with the mouth on the top side.

5. Real physics (angle of incidence is equal to the angle of exit, with no momentum loss, a constant speed)? for the ball that will continuously bounce around the rectangle

PROPPORTIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bottom of the funnel will be considered 1 unit of length.? This should be an adjustable parameter ranging from 0.5 unit to 1 unit

2. The top side of the funnel should be 10 units of length (the angle of the slope is not important)?

3. the "PONG" ball(s) diameter will be 0.1 unit of length (must be a circle, not a square)

4. The thickness of the partition is not important, but must be uniform along the entire length of the partion and to all other partions.

5. "PONG" ball speed should be an adjustable parameter ranging from 50,000 units of length per second to 500,000 units of length per second

6. Amount of balls should be an adjustable parameter ranging from 1 to 100,000

7. All balls must start in the top most partition (between the roof and the first partition)

8. Ability to start, stop, and pause simulation

DATA RECORDING

(Each partition space should have a label in the data table)

1. The program when we hit "start" begins recording the following data:

? ? ? ? a. How many balls are in each partition when we hit "stop"

? ? ? ? b. should display? those numbers? in real-time? and even? when we hit "pause"?

## Deliverables

This should be a flash file that I can simply double click and begin running simulations, something simple like an .FLV file, or if you have a better recommendation, I am totally open to it, it just needs to be SIMPLE.
