I am interested in developing an online checkbook register service, accessible over the web, where people can enter their transactions via an easy to use interface and have their available spending balance (factoring in checks and other transactions that haven't yet posted/cleared) e-mailed to them on a regular basis of their choosing. Additionally the program should support e-mailing transaction information (date, payee, amount, category) to the program from the user's desktop, which should require just a bit of simple parsing and support for checking individualized e-mail accounts. The service should support personalized login for each user, categories for each transaction, and a simple "where did my money go" report that can be accessed 24x7.
