This is a fun, nifty little project that shouldn't take to long for dev. We've created an image-based clock for one of our clients that works well on the pc. Now that we've finalized the functionality of our PC clock version, they've asked for a mac version. So now we need to find an individual who can replicate this for our MAC users.
The clock is comprised of a series of 720 images that sequentially represent 720 minutes of the day. A normal 24-hour day has a total of 1,440 minutes but to make things easier, we're reusing each image a total of 2 times for each day, whether it's for 10:12am or 10:12pm. This saves the user from having to download an extra 720 images. These images are all the same size (150X150 pixels). We will supply the developer with these images in any format that he/she finds suitable for quality and file-size. Keep in mind that this clock will be a downloadable component from the client's webpage. So filesize is very important.
What's important is that we get the Mac version functionality as close to humanly possible to that of the PC version. The best way to find out how the PC version is set to operate is to simply download the following file and install it on the nearest PC:
You'll notice that the clock is capable of displaying on top of all other apps that are in use. This feature can be turned off by right-clicking on the face of the clock and turning this feature off. Right-clicking is also the method in which the user closes the clock app. The clock has no borders and is just meant to showcase the images only.
And of course, it goes without saying that we would love for the mac version to be easy to install and easy to use once it's running.
