I am considering using an existing open source software for a new business I might be opening that sells low value products via sales reps. The software is called webERP (online demo here: [login to view URL]). The software currently allows the admin to keep track of inventory, customer accounts and invoices/deliveries etc. A small problem arises when an order has to be placed, as you can only enter quantities required for one item at a time. After doing so, you need to search for the next item and repeat the process. I’d like this to be modified. To see how the software currently handles ordering, do the following: 1) Go to [login to view URL] 2) Log-in as Username: demo password: weberp 3) Click on "Place an Order" 4) Enter the letter "a" as customer name and Click "Search Now" 5) Click the button 0001-0001 for Ted McAllister_HK customer 6) You will now see the problem. If you do not know the serial numbers for items (which we don't), you need to press "Search Parts" button. 7. Leave the category pull down selection menu as all, and press "Search Now" to display all the items in the inventory. 8. This next page is the one I need modifying. Where it says next to each item, "Order Some" as a link; I will need a text input box for a number instead. I'd like the user to be able to go down the list of items generated entering the quantities required for each and every item before pressing a final "submit button" at the bottom of the list. Once the button has been pressed, the invoice would be updated - exactly the same as it does currently when you press "order some", except the quantities should be passed as a parameter to the invoice for all the items required instead of just one item at a time. Once you have gone through the steps above, it will be glaringly obvious what I mean as it is a major flaw in the ordering process of this open source software. Thanks for your interest.
