Struggling with cfm. I want to use one static page and call other pages into it - all I want to change is the content and images. The header and footer are always the same. I have the following pages:
[url removed, login to view]
[url removed, login to view] - includes [url removed, login to view] and will include [url removed, login to view]
[url removed, login to view] - includes [url removed, login to view]
I run into problems with the images being broken. I found a script from experts-exchange that's supposed to figure out dynamically how to find the images relative to the domain. I really want to use this, but couldn't get it to work. I put this code in the [url removed, login to view]
<cfscript>
[url removed, login to view] = Replace(CGI.SCRIPT_NAME, "\", "/", "ALL");
RootDepth = (ListLen([url removed, login to view],"/") - 1);
RelativePath = RepeatString("../",RootDepth);
if (RootDepth) { RelativePath = Left(RelativePath,Len(RelativePath)-1); }
</cfscript>
<cfoutput>'#RelativePath#'</cfoutput> --- BUT this displays '..' on the screen. I think i don't have the cfoutput right.
Most images are in [url removed, login to view], but the image for this header page is in: [url removed, login to view]
I read that this code would work for the header file...
<td><img align="left" src="#RelativePath##application.images#[url removed, login to view]" width="160" height="80"></td>
I tried this unsuccessfully:
<td><img align="left" src="#RelativePath#images/products/[url removed, login to view]" width="160" height="80"></td>
Here's the URL to the page I'm working on:
[url removed, login to view]
Please help. I really want to understand. Is there hope for this cfm framework or is it the wrong approach.
