I am seeking to create a low-cost worship presentation software package that can be distributed to mission churches in developing countries. I want pastors and worship leaders to be able to have control of a PowerPoint or Oo Impress presentation. I want them to be able to cue and control MPG, AVI, and other files. I would really like them to be able to cue a DVD and play just a defined segment. There should be a default graphic and/or black screen that they could display with one mouse click or keystroke. The software should support a dual screen arrangement with screen one being the controls, preview of next cued slide, and speaker notes, etc. Screen two should be the output going to the projector(s). Control of a live video feed would be a nice plus. Some degree of “Picture-in-Picture?? would be nice for screen two. Presume that most users will do the majority of their slide creation in Oo Impress and will provide their own song lyrics and Bible texts. The focus of this software should be controlling the presentation, not creating it. Having said that, the ability to record what is being sent to Monitor two would be very nice. Developing this as an Oo Impress add-in is a possibility that I like, but I am not prejudging that it will be the best approach. SEE ATTACHED MS Word file for important additional details.
