Audio Zones

Using the Bass Audio Library downloaded from

1. Create an application that when started enumerates all audio devices on the system, and assigns a user input name to all input and output devices. If possible, each channel could be named and then grouped together, so if a sound card had 5.1, you could assign 4 channels based on left front, right front, left rear, right rear etc. And then assing the front two channels to "kitchen" and the rear two channels to "den"

2. Incorporate simple mp3 playback controls, stop, pause, rew, fastforward etc. No visual interface is nessesary, but may make it easier to debug.

3. Ability to direct inputs to outputs, if line-in (card 1) plays to font-left & front-Right.

4. All control would be via a network port using TCP/IP commands. example:

Telnet to port 1055:

play c:\media\[url removed, login to view] output zone den kitchen

(starts playing song1 in zone den and kitchen)

stop output zone den

(stops playing song1 in zone den, but continues in kitchen)

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

This would need to run in Windows XP.
