I’d like ask a few questions in order to gain a better understanding of requirements:
(1) I haven’t worked with Freeagent before but you say that most of these features, e.g. invoice creation and printing, are available within Freeagent and accessible via the API. Why then do you want to recreate them in the POS and reinvent the wheel as it were? Or am I missing something here?
(2) The same with the proposed “Create New Contact” feature – I am assuming something similar would definitely be available within Freeagent. So should we not restrict the POS to functionality and features that Freeagent does not provide and simply have the API synchronize between the two?
(3) You have listed 5 features you want in the POS:
(i) Create New Contact
(ii) Pickup customer information from Freeagent
(iii) Creating (and editing) Price Lists
(iv) Creating invoices and saving the information back to Freeagent
(v) Printing invoices
Is this all that is required for now? Of course, I am proposing that most of these are a duplication of functionality that Freeagent already provides so we may choose to not redevelop them?
(4) Do you have more detailed specifications, user-interface wireframes, use-case scenarios, etc?
(5) Finally, is your budget only $250, because I feel this is quite low given the scope of work.
