Deadbolt – a password protected app that protects specific information, which the user selects to make private When the app is launched the first time, a password screen asking the user to create a password that no one but them will know is launched, the user will then re-enter this password to confirm entry, they will then be prompted to answer two security questions which will be saved for future use, and from there they will be launched to a menu with folders labeled “Events,” “Notes,” “My Accounts,” “Pictures,” and “Add New Group.” Upon clicking each tab, the user will be prompted to the folder’s contents where they can add a sticky note of information they’d like to keep private. In the “Pictures” folder, the user will be prompted to a menu of protected photos which they select to save in the app. The app will have a camera button to take a photo and save it in the app and when a photo is saved to the app from the iPhone’s library, it will be deleted from the iPhone photo library. When the “Add New Group” icon is launched, a screen prompting a $0.99 fee to add a new group is opened. If purchased, the user can create a new group to add to their home menu. If a person enters the app and incorrectly types in their password two times, the two security questions will pop up to grant the user access. There will be a “Settings” tab on the home menu in which the user can change his or her password and update answers to their security questions. Info from the app backs up to the user’s iCloud account in the event that the phone is lost or stolen.
