I did such DTM model for "Sage Profile 3D" before. For that purpose we distributed the CAD file of profiles and sections between some staffs to extract the data and save in Excel files. Then what I coded in MATLAB reads the data from those Excel files and generate the DTM. matlab1st (The author of the book "Numerical Recipes for solving Engineering Problems using MATLAB")
