Hello.
Acting on the audio files downloaded from the DSS Player is doable.
Moving the files, renaming, and adding the transcribed texts next to the audio files in the folder is also all doable. I would even say easy.
The challenge is in communicating with Dragon Dictate. I only have access to version 4. And from what I can see, there’s no applescript command for detecting when the transcribing process is finished. That means I’d have to resort to UI scripting or some other way to figuring out what’s needed to get the script working.
That’s considerable more effort, and I am not doing all that for 30 AUD.
I’m good with this stuff, if there is a way I’m sure I’ll find it. Either by UI scripting, or poking around (reverse engineering Dragon Dictate a little) to see what options are available, or rather.. what options I can make available. You get the picture.
I’m not aware if things have changed in Dragon Dictate 5, on the applescript front.
If so, it should be much less effort and therefore a lower price.
I’m also willing to try this out, put in an hour to see if i can figure it out. Of course, I would only expect pay in case I sort it out.
Please get back to me, even if you think I’m too expensive.
I’m sure we can agree on something.
Best,
John Grönlund
