Heroku hackers and UNIX geeks, here's a small job to make some quick money!
Background:
I'm hosting a web app on heroku.com. In a ruby background job I'm using ffmpegthumbnailer to generate a thumbnail of a video, with the command:
`ffmpegthumbnailer -i "#{video_url}" -o #{local_storage_path} -s 0 -t 10 -q 10`
This works locally on Mac OSX, but I don't have a build for Heroku's cedar platform (AMD64 as far as I know).
Task:
1. Build the ffmpegthumbnailer lib (perhaps using Heroku Vulcan - [login to view URL])
2. Create an empty rails app and vendor the lib(s)
3. Deploy to heroku and confirm that the lib is working:
$ heroku run console
irb(main):001:0> `ffmpegthumbnailer`
You'll win the project if you can provide a screen shot of the output. Alternatively, I'll also happily pay for an open-source repository on Github with a working procedure.
Delivery:
1. Screen shot of working command from Heroku console
2. Simple documentation of how to build and vendor lib(s)
3. Lib(s) to be vendored
