Basic Web site

We are seeking an exceptionally creative muti-talented web designer to build a website. He/She needs to be committed to excellence and nothing less. The website is an online brochure and will not be very complicated. It just needs to look very professional and match the style of our paper brochure. We would like to have a large banner that is moving every 3 seconds or so at the top of each page (compatible with Macs/iPads) with "Read more..." buttons. We do NOT want the use of any plugins (Flash, Java, etc.). You will have to source pictures or design logos/images. We already have a logo and a colour palette. No cookies required. The total number of pages will be approximately 20. We need a "Search" button and a basic "Contact us" form. Please provide us with your best websites (3-5). We would like to get the site up and running within 15 days. Structure of the website ================== See picture attached ("[login to view URL]") Compatibility ========= The developer will need to ensure compatibility with the following major browsers: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari). The site should be optimised for a screen resolution of 1024. On large screens, it should always be centered. In addition, the site should be viewable on on iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows phone. Search Engine Optimisation ===================== The website should be accessible to search engine spiders (all pages must be indexed). Once the website is developed, we will provide META tags for all the pages. Style and Layout ============= The site should match the look and feel of our paper brochure. It will be provided once the Freelancer has been selected. The navigation needs to be simple and logical. Support and enhancements ===================== You must be able to provide us with support going forward, should some changes be required in the layout in the future. Please specify your hourly rate for this. Additional requirements ================== The site must comply with the standards of accessibility contained in W3C WAI level A Guidelines. The site must be written in HTML 4.0 with JavaScript so that it works on Internet Explorer 6. All code on the site must comply with W3C specifications. Hosting ====== Our current site is hosted on a Linux server but this could be changed if required. The test website must be hosted on YOUR server. Key stages ======== 1. Draft design sample to be provided for approval 2. Draft website 3. We will provide with missing content, strap lines if required, etc. 4. Semi-final website 5. Submission of META tags and final tweks 6. Final website Content Management ================= We must be able to easily update the text of the pages (eg. correct typos) using a text editor. Other ==== The website should load quickly and run and show correctly on tablet computer. On incompatible or old browsers, a simple text page should show our company name, address, telephone and email.
