I am implementing a homepage to my website. The website will be split up into two components on two different domains. The first component is the homepage (currently hosted on [login to view URL]) and the second component is the shop (currently hosted on [login to view URL]).
The homepage will need to have a "search" box on the top however all that box needs to do is the following:
Take the "search" query that is entered and format it to the following URL and forward the user to that URL, "[login to view URL]". If there are multiple words in the query then it will need to be formatted as such, "[login to view URL]".
The current test "search" box I have on the testpage is formatting the links incorrectly and therefore is not loading the correct results on the [login to view URL] website.
Once the script is created it will have to be formatted in a way that I can easily embed it into the website by just copy and pasting the code.
I believe that for a java expert this should not take much time at all to execute and should be a pretty simple job. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks!
Hi,
I can format the search query correctly and then redirect the use to the other site with correctly formatted search string. This will be a simple job for me and I can start working on it right now.
Thanks.
