I have a very old file parse written in IDEAL language very similar to cobol. I want you to convert that program into Java parser. Input is a text file and output gets stored into the database. Please find attached (code snippet) old parser that you need to convert into Java. Only bid if you could understand and are confident to do this task. Please write "ideal to Java" in the subject of PM. If you complete this job successfully then there are few more parsers that need this type of conversion.

Ideal to Java. I wrote a parser generator that uses java (JavaCC or Cup). I have created lots of parsers. I can provide the parser with error recovery that produces an AST (tree-like object that is easy to deal with) or any other data structure that you need.

Understanding of project:This projects seems to have code in CObol type Parser and need to convert in to Java shippet. I am a Cobol programmer and have experience in JAVA as well.I have around 4 yrs of experience in conversion projecets .Its a good task for us and make sure that we will deliver this project on time.

I'm a US born and based software developer with 15 years+ of software development experience in multiple languages(including COBOL, believe it or not:)), but lately JAVA for the past 6 years. I'm sure I'm not the least expensive, but I have learned that doing it correctly the first time is the way to go. I'd like to learn more about this gig.
