Hi there, Reading your description, and its pretty brief, but I have a lot of experience designing board games and card games. The way I would start on this project is pretty straight forward and it’s the formula I use on all the projects I work on. So what i would do is take the information you provide such as what type of game it is and do some extra research on those styles of games. After I get familiar with the direction you’re going in I’ll start on thumbnail sketches of about 12-24 design’s each for the cover, cards, board and anything else. I send those off to you and you choose which ones you Like. The next stage I take note of what you liked from the thumbnails and I scale them up bigger so I can flesh out the shapes and details that were illegible in the tiny sketch version. These rendered drawings will give you a better sense of how the illustratrions will look once their done. From here you tell me what you like, what you dislike, and what you feel like we should add to the Overall design. After a few iterative changes to the drawing we arrive at the final designs. Now it’s time to render. This part is pretty simple and it’s basically me painting up the designs to look more polished. But still at this point i will send you progress shots to get your advice on different colors and lighting situations.
