Hi, I've 10+ years experienece in java/jee application development, with databases like oracle, mysql and sybase. I've done many performance optimization at various level : like while using data structure in java code, or while doing joins in database. In oracle and sybase, I've done many query optimization using data shortening before doing cartesian product as a result of join. Í've also used Jprofiler to profile project to find out cpu usage, memory usage, objects creations and stack call count and time; on the database side I've done optimization by using temp table, indexes, hints, parallel processing etc, I can be a good help in your requirement of performance optimization. Although new to bidding on a freelance project, we have been solving these type problems within our own organization within a tomcat/ jsp framework/ mysql stack, and would enjoy helping your organization do the same. We will optimize the sql and ajax rendering. Optimize sql: We will reduce the time to pull the data from the database by indexing the table and optimize the sql hitting the logs (15 seconds sounds a lot, we have gigabytes being queried in miliseconds). Optimize the ajax: You can only fit so much data on the screen, we can optimize the ajax to only render the data visible to the user.
