Role: Freelance UI/UX Designer Work Experiences: 3+ years Seeing the project through from start to finish is an absolute must! Talented and trustworthy designers are welcome! Budget - approx S$ 500 (can be negotiated based on proposal, experience and portfolio - the responsive theme to work with has already been purchased [login to view URL] ) Description: - We are building up an integrated learning platform that aims to simplify classroom collaboration and assessments. - We are looking to build the prototype of our platform and would require a Designer with expertise in designing clean, crisp user-centric web interfaces. - The design to should be centred around driving engagement up by providing content in a simple, consumable yet fun manner. - The desired theme has already been purchased. Customisations based on the Designers approach and design could be made on top of the theme elements. Responsibility: - Overall responsibility for understanding the design requirements and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces. - Advise on best UI and UX approach to be able to achieve the required goals. - Prepares low fidelity prototypes of sites/features (interactive prototypes) for internal review and brainstorming. - Build and deliver high fidelity prototype for final approval. - Capable of gauging technical feasibility of the prototype. - Capable of working in an iterative/agile manner to dramatically improve the prototypes in a short time. - Able to explain his/her design philosophy verbally and in writing. Desired Skills & Experiences Skills/Competencies - Design Tools: Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks. - Front end Technologies: In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3. - Responsive User Interface Design and understanding of Design Process. - Excellent time-management, and communication skills. - Ask questions and not work on assumptions. Should be responsive to client queries and be approachable. - Should provide a well estimated timeline for the design and delivery of the project. Desired Experience - A minimum of 3 years of responsive and interactive web designer. - Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy. - Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography. - Ability to understand the design vision and translate to beautiful modern web pages . - Candidate must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends. - Formal education in interaction design (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma) is a definite plus.
