Hi there! As the title says, this job posting is to have two illustrations done of a few characters for an upcoming video game.
This game is a 2D action-RPG that follows an apathetic young naga, a girl named Ulupi who is gifted with the rare talent of necromancy, participating in a college ceremony where she and her classmates abandon modern commodities like cell phones, electricity, indoor plumbing, etc. in favor of magic and fending for themselves for a month. This ceremony is meant to show them how there's more than one way to live, as well as help them build lasting bonds with each other. The students battle each other as well as monsters. As you may have guessed, this game takes place in an alternate modern day where high fantasy is reality, meaning you see a mixture of humans, elves, merfolk, etc., and technology is basically the same, with the use of magic dwindling out of favor.
That being said, the illustrations (which I will describe momentarily) will be used in an art book for the video game! We have a few illustrations already for it, but after recent developments, we'd like to expand it more! We've already hired one artist from this website that we absolutely wanted to work with, but we've seen a lot of really great portfolios on this website and we'd like to openly invite talent to work with us instead of contacting specific people, so that we can include a wider range of styles. That being said, even if you're not chosen for this job, we may come to you for another set of two illustrations featuring other characters! :) This posting will be how we choose more illustrators for the book. Please only submit if you have examples of your work either on your profile or on a website! Public portfolios are preferred.

I have much experience in creating eye catching representations of characters, their outfits and surrounding landscapes.
Adobe Photoshop with Wacom Intuos Pro are generally my preferable tools.
In order to start work I will require clear vision of what do you need me to do. Visual or literal.
After receiving those I will made several very brief compositional sketches to ensure we are on the same page. On this stage of work we will be able to change anything. I will proceed to line art and coloring only with your permission and agreement.
Thus, the more information you will provide at the beginning— the more precise picture will be. As well as help to avoid too many alterations, remakes and speed the work.
